Top screen

Hello
My grandsons' DS Lites'  A button wouldn't work so I disassembled it and cleaned the contact pads with q tip and alcohol. Then I
 reassembled it. The A button worked great, however the top screen is mostly white. You can faintly see what is on screen.
Its as if the are bleached out.  Would greatly appreciate what might the the problem.

Either you didn't insert the top screen cable completely or you damaged the cable when you opened the ds. The latter is more likely.
