I followed the directions for a top screen replacement and they were very good directions.  Obviously, I had to solder the speakers onto my new screen.  I made sure the polarity for both speakers were correct and the solder connections look nice and neat.  I tried to be very careful in this whole repair.

However, after powering up after the screen replacement, everything seems to work fine except the speakers are at a constant very, very low volume.  The volume control has no effect.  Head phones work fine but the volume control does not affect the head phones, either.

I'm wondering what I should look for.  The solder connections look good but maybe I should try re-doing them.  I'm not sure what else to try.  Thanks.

If your speakers worked before then you probably didn't do something quite right. Post a picture of your soldered connectors.
