If you've ever broken an analog stick it really sucks.
I will tell you how to fix the problem were it wont center and it won't move in certain directions.

Materials needed:
A size #000 Screwdriver to take off the PSP faceplate and analog stick.
A really tiny screw (maximum size is size of PSP screw) (I found one in my old MP3 Player)
super  glue
Some type of handsaw
sandpaper
wire snippers.

Here's what you do. (Pics not included yet.)

REMEMBER TO KEEP ALL PIECES HANDY! DON'T LOSE THEM!

1. Take off your faceplate and then the 2 screws that hold the analog stick on.
2. Once analog stick is off, take off the silver piece off the bottom of analog stick. (Just pry the edges)
3. Take off the green microchip looking thing.
4. Take out the 3 pieces inside. (One is tan, one is black and one is silver.)
5. Take off the little washer type thing on top of analog.
6. Take off the top plastic piece.
You should now see a spring and the little nub part.
7. Take out the spring and the nub and set them aside.
Now if you look at  your nub part, you should see that the bottom is really screwed up. This is the part we need to cut off.
8. Cut off the crappy bottom part of the nub with a handsaw.
9.  Sand it with sandpaper so it is smooth.
10. Take your little screw and super glue it to your nub with the head on the bottom of the nub. (Make sure it's as center as you can get.)
11. Put you nub back in the bottom plastic piece and see if it's too long.
If it's too long use wire snippers to cut it down.
12. Sand the bottom of the screw so it's flat.
13. Repeat steps 11 through 12 until it looks like if fits perfectly.
14. Put you nub back in the bottom plastic piece and then the spring on top of that.
15. Lay the top plastic piece on top of the bottom piece. (It won't go on until you put the spring back)
16 To put the spring back in place, take your little screwdriver and try to poke it back it to place. (May take several tries)
17. Pop the top piece back on. (You analog stick should move around like normal now.)
18. Flip it over and put the little rectangular silver piece back on over the tip of the screw. (Make sure the silver piece is parallel to the 2 screw holes on the outside of stick and be sure the parts on the end that are curved are pointing up.)
19.  Put the black rectangular piece back over the tip of screw with the gold part pointing up. (Black piece is perpendicular to silver piece.)
20. Put the tan piece back over the tip of screw and the gold part pointing up. Should go right over the silver piece so you can't see the silver piece.
21. Put the green microchip thing back on. The dark side is facing toward the inside and the 2 black line's should both be touching the gold parts of the black and tan pieces.
22.  Bend the edges back in of the big silver piece. Slide it back on over the side.
23. Put the thin washer back on top of analog stick.
Now move it around and make sure it works good.
24. Screw the analog back into your faceplate.
25. Put your faceplate back on.

There you go you analog stick should work as good as new.
Please post if anyone tries this.
