hey all i was wondering i have a ds that the power plug doesnt seem to work properly firstly is there a  site that you can buy new replacement power sockets from (female part) and if not is there a circuit diagram of the ds online to view as well.
one other thing is there a easy way to get that tiny ribbon cable for the touch screen module with out the end fraying so much that it can never get in, tips would be greatly appreciatted thanks every1.

Can't help you with the first two. For the ribbon cable tweezers work well

cheers i think thats the best idea i just didnt have any to hand when it popped out before i think it might be the motherboard on the ds now.
When the power supply gets plugged in the red indicator turns on for  a short period of time but it always seems to be the same amount of time apart from one time i got it too turn on but hte system had to be reset and once the setting are done you have to turn it off and its never turned back on after for more that a half second Tongue just a green light flashes on and turns off again with the red indicator.
