DS Lite Fuse Replacement Tutorial

The DS lite motherboard has two fuses that, if blown, will keep your ds from turning on. The most obvious symptom is the single flash of the orange light when you connect the charger to the ds lite. This repair is harder than most because it requires some soldering skill and steady hands. The components you will be working with are very small.

Stuff you will need:

A few small screwdrivers (phillips #00, flat head)
Triwing screwdriver
Wire Cutter
Ziplock bags for screws and small parts
Basic soldering equipment (iron, solder, desoldering braid, tip cleaner)

	First, take the cover off the lower half of the ds lite. This is covered in our DS Lite Bottom Screen Replacement Tutorial. The two fuses are cirlced in red. To confirm which fuse is blown you will need to test them with a multimeter.
	Use your wire cutter to cut the fuse off.
	This is what the motherboard looks like with the fuse removed. Position the new fuse between the pads and solder it to the board.
